Borgia Family and ancient Jewish Roots .... according to Semi-Gotha

When searching the roots of the Borgia Family I stumbled across this website that states the Borgia Family is of ancient Jewish Origin..... Jewish Nobilty

Borgia, Spanish and Italian lines of the family descended from Pope Alexander VI, originally Rodrigo Langolo. Created Dukes of Gandia. No names given of current members although both survive.

Above the name "Borgia" in this list of ancient Jewish families of the Semi Gotha is the name "Borghese". Was Pope Paul V another Jewish Pope ? Maybe many of the Popes, like St Peter were also Jewish.

  2. Many Jews assimilated into various cultures. People also forget Jesus was Jewish and died as a Jewish person.

  3. The "1st pope" aka the "St. Peter of Rome" was not Jewish or the Apostle Peter. He was the Samaritan (Babylonian) Simon PETER Magus the magician(from the Bible). The Apostle Peter was the Apostle of Jerusalem and his actual grave was found in Jerusalem. The bones in Rome belong to "Peter" the magician. The Borgias are not Jewish they are Samaritan or Babylonian!

  4. This was an unsubstantiated claim that was started by many of the Borgias’ contemporaries. It was stated that the Borgias were Marranos, which was a term that referred to Jews that converted to Christianity but secretly retained their old religious practices. That said, it is possible that the Borgias might have been of Sephardic origin. In Spain, it was not unheard of for wealthy and powerful Sephardic families to intermarry with the Spanish nobility. Impoverished aristocrats and members the Spanish Court were willing to overlook religious and cultural differences for an infusion of money into their families. Many Sephardic families that rose in power and prestige in Spain “converted” to Christianity in the hopes of cementing their position of power. I had read that King Ferdinand II’s great-grandmother was a Jew.
